Commission urges Member States to negotiate a five-year transitional period for free movement of workers from candidate countries

Brussels, 11/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - One week earlier than expected, the European Commission proceeded on Wednesday to adopt a "draft common position" for the EU on the free movement of people.
