Commission moves against France and Spain ("wild birds")

Brussels, 26/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has just decided to refer France to the European Court of Justice and to send Spain a reasoned opinion for not having sufficiently designated special protection areas for wild birds as required by Directive 79/409/EEC concerning the protection of wild birds. EUROPE will return to the details tomorrow.
