26/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - Former Prime Ministers and Ministers of Asia and Australia met on Monday in southern China to inaugurate, on 27 February, an Asian forum conceived after the fashion of the World Economic Forum in Davos. The forum is expected to meet at regular intervals in Boao, a town situated on the southern island of Hainan. Ajit Singh, former ASEAN Secretary General, will be the first Secretary General of the forum.
