Controls for "over fishing" in France, Convention on Danube and quarrels of opticians and ophthalmologists in Belgium

Luxembourg, 08/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Court of Justice handed down, last week, rulings which, in the words of observers, the most important is that in which it condemns France for having left free rein to a significant "over fishing" without taking adequate control measures. Also, the Convention of cooperation for the protection and sustainable use of the Danube, and the quarrel between ophthalmologists and opticians in Belgium, which have been the object of another ruling.
