The British spirits group ALLIED DOMECQ has made a bid for MONTANA (annual turnover £90 million), the largest wine producer and distributor in New Zealand, for an overall £282 million. The cash offer will be formally presented by MILLSTREAM, the New-Zealand subsidiary of ALLIED DOMECQ, and is conditional on acquisition of 50.01% of the shares.
