Tirana, 08/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - After his visit to Belgrade with the EU Troika on Thursday (see above) the High Representative for Cfsp, Javier Solana, was in Tirana the same afternoon, for his first visit since the Zagreb Summit of 24 and 25 November 2000 that had opened up new prospects for the countries of the region gradually integrating the EU.
On that occasion, Mr. Solana met the Albanian President Meidani, Prime Minister Imlir Meta and Foreign Minister Paskal Milo, which whom he discussed: - progress in internal reforms in Albania, in view of concluding a future Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU; - undertakings made at the Zagreb Summit, especially regarding regional cooperation; - the current situation in Kosovo and the Valley of Presevo, South East Serbia (where the command of the Liberation Force rejected the Serb peace plan; Ed.).
