08/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - Marco Cappato, European elected member of the Lista Bonino, presented a question to the EU Council concerning the designation of Giancarlo Caselli (who was Prosecutor for the Republic of Palermo from 1993 to mid-1999) as Italian representative with Eurojust, the "embryonic European Prosecutor". Before ratifying the national appointments to these types of post, Mr Cappato calls on the Council to assess and consult the European Parliament.
