ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) steel

The French group USINOR and Luxembourg group ARBED are holding discussions with a view to eventual pooling of their stainless steel activities. These synergies would concern the ALZ factory of ARBED, with a production capacity of 600,000 tonnes annually, and USINOR's UGINE, with an annual production of 1.6 million tonnes.
