Agreement on environmental and safety conditions for Temelin nuclear plant

Brussels, 13/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - Austria and the Czech Republic - with mediation by European Enlargement Commissioner Günter Verheugen - came to an agreement on Wednesday for resolving the dispute that has lasted for several months now between these two countries regarding the Czech nuclear power plant of Temelin, which, located close to the Austrian border, gives rise to nuclear safety concerns in Austria.
