The industrial electronics group THALES is to repurchase the ticket business (transport payment systems) and the electronic transactions business of telecommunications equipment company ALCATEL. The financial arrangements of the operation have not been disclosed. The activities concerned are currently grouped within ALCATEL CGA TRANSPORT (annual turnover EUR 100 million with 700 employed), a 100% ALCATEL subsidiary.
