Luxembourg, 13/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank is to grant a loan of EUR 100 million to Saarland for financing the infrastructures of the University of Hombourg. The investment, which comes within the context of a long term programme for the development of biomedical and biotechnological research at the university clinic, will mainly be for data communications infrastructure, advanced energy-saving technology, expanding the scientific and technical libraries in the field of life sciences, and security measures in the areas of organic and physical chemistry, etc.
