Commission authorises Dutch "aid for development" for acquisition of four new ship by Indonesia

Brussels, 13/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - After a one year investigation, the European Commission authorised the Netherlands to pay a subsidy to the Bodewes/Pattje Shipyards, in the form of an aid for development enabling to two Indonesian ship owners to buy four ships from the Dutch builder. This aid represents 25% of the contract value of the boats, for a total cost of NGL 120 million.
