Solana welcomes latest developments towards resolving crisis

Brussels, 23/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - CFSP High Representative Javier Solana commented on the latest developments in Lima (destitution of President Fujimori, for "permanent moral incapacity", by the Congress which has appointed its president, Valentin Paniagua, as acting president of the Republic) considering that Peru has "made a very important step forward towards resolving a political crisis" that was growing worse.
