According to the Spanish economic daily, Expansión, the Anglo-Dutch group UNILEVER is preparing to sell its Spanish tinned food and frozen vegetables subsidiary, FRUDESA, to French BONDUELLE. The move would allow the latter to increase its turnover in Spain fourfold. FRUDESA (580 employed) made a turnover of EUR 106 million in 1999, and BONUELLE 35 million (200 employed).
