ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) internet

Operator FRANCE TELECOM has announced that it is holding discussions with a view to possibly taking over, via its Internet subsidiary WANADOO (stock capitalisation of EUR 15 billion), the British access provider FREESERVE (stock capitalisation £1.47 billion). The amount of the transaction would amount to EUR 3 billion.
