Brussels, 22/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission this week adopted a draft directive on insurance brokers. The aim is double: to make them benefit from true freedom of establishment and provision of services in the European Union and ensure a better level of protection for their clients. Once adopted by the Council, the text will replace a 1977 directive to become the unique Community text, a binding text, to be applied to this profession.
