German bus and lorry manufacturer MAN (turnover EUR 4 billion in the first eight months of 2000) has bought up the "bus" business of its compatriot company GOTTLOB AUWÄRTER, for an undisclosed amount. The bus and coach activities of the two groups will be grouped within a holding fully owned by MAN, which will represent a turnover of EUR 1.29 billion with a market share of 35% in Germany and 15% in Europe.
