Toyota may take over full control of its distributor in the United Kingdom

Brussels, 05/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised Toyota Motor Corporation to take over sole control of Toyota PLC, its exclusive distributor of Toyota vehicles and spare parts, and Lexus in the United Kingdom. With this move, Toyota will complete the capital takeover of Inchcape Overseas Ltd. The Commission considers this vertical integration will not affect any market horizontally or vertically in the sense of the regulation on mergers. Neither will it change...
