The Dutch insurance group ACHMEA and its Portuguese counterpart BCP - BANCO COMERCIAL PORTGUES have decided to merge their insurance activities with the EUREKO consortium in the aim of creating a new financial group of European scale. Pro forma, the new group will have total assets of EUR 46.8 billion and will generate revenue of EUR 7 billion.
