EIB grants loan of USD 73 million to Consorcio Mexigas, joint venture mainly held by Gaz de France

Luxembourg, 04/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank is granting a loan of USD 73 million to Consorcio Mexigas, for the funding of a gas distribution network in Mexico city. Mexigas is 86% held by Gaz de France and 14% by the Mexican public works company, Bufete Industrial. Mexigas will build and exploit a natural gas distribution network in the Cuautitlan-Texcoco valley.
