ETUC (European unions) and CEEP (public enterprises) draw up draft European Charter of general interest services for attention of European institutions

Brussels, 04/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the European Centre of Enterprises with Public Participation and of Enterprises of General Economic Interest (CEEP) have approved "a proposal for a Charter of general interest services." They presented it to the European Institutions so that they serve as the basis for an official Community text that would have the statute of a Protocol annexed to the EU Treaty.
