EIB grants EUR 50 million to MetroGas, joint venture between British Gas and Repsol

Luxembourg, 04/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank granted a loan of USD 50 million to MetroGas in Argentina, for the funding of a gas pipeline and a gas distribution network. MetroGas is 38% held by British Gas International and 32% by Repsol. This loan is aimed at the construction of a gas pipeline between the extraction point and the concession area, the renovation of the existing network and its extension by 2,200 km.
