HUTCHISON WHAMPOA (Hong Kong) is on the point of selling 35% of the stake that it holds in its British company, the owner of a licence for third generation mobile telephony UMTS, to the Dutch group KPN MOBILE NV and to NTT DOCOMO (Japanese group NTT).
