Copenhagen, 22/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - During a meeting of the Danish Parliament's Foreign policy and European affairs Committees, the Prime Minister Poul Rasmussen felt that "the European Union countries could in a few days take the first step towards lifting sanctions" against Austria. "We are working hard on a text in which we hope that the fourteen EU States can very rapidly agree, before the 1st July," date of the start of the French Presidency, he announced.
