ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) cleaning

The Britih company RENTOKIL INITIAL has announced that it is buying the German cleaning services company BILGER SCHWENK for 40 million pounds sterling. The German company's turnover was DM 81 million in 1999, with four cleaning divisions in southern Germany and one in Switzerland. RENTOKIL has also bought up six other small companies (for a total of 2 million pounds sterling) operating in the field of tropical plant maintenance, pest control, surveillance and cleaning.
