Brussels, 09/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has adopted a draft regulation which specifies the liability of air companies and the level of compensation that should be paid to passengers in the event of accident, delay or luggage loss. This draft regulation of the Council and Parliament will translate into Community law the international Montreal Convention signed on 28 May 1999, which will in time replace the Warsaw Convention of 1929.
