United Kingdom calls on EU to apply suspension clause for cooperation to Liberia because it supports Sierra Leone rebels

Brussels, 09/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Union's cooperation in development in Liberia, an ACP country bordering on Sierra Leone, could be brought into question. The United Kingdom, which reproves the support given by this country to the Sierra Leone rebels will raise the point during the General Affairs Council on Tuesday, when discussions turn to Africa.
