Brussels, 09/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - While welcoming the agreement between the European Parliament and Council on the Directive harmonising working time in the EU, including the recognition of the agreement on working time concluded between the social partners in the rail sector (see EUROPE of 22&23 May, p.13), The Community of European Railways (CER) regrets that no progress of the same kind was seen in the regulation of working time for mobile workers in the road sector.
