Parliament not to take a stance on United Kingdom's participation in some of the provisions of the Schengen Agreement

Brussels, 26/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Parliamentary Committee on Citizens' Freedoms and Rights did not manage to adopt the report by German Christian-Democrat Hartmut Nassauer on the United Kingdom's request to participate in some of the provisions of the Schengen acquis. Rejection of this report prevents the European Parliament from voting on the British request.
