According to the Wall Street Journal, Germany's BERTELSMANN is in talks with TIME WARNER in view of possibly merging their respective record clubs, BMG DIRECT and COLUMBIA HOUSE. The former claims to have 11 million members with a turnover of $400 million, and the latter 16 million members for a turnover of $1.4 bn.
