Commission decides the orientation of proposals it will submit in June for new regulatory framework to implement the Lisbon objectives

Brussels, 26/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission took two initiatives on Wednesday within the framework of implementation of the Lisbon Summit conclusions on the knowledge-based economy and the information society for all. The two initiatives concern:

  • the new regulatory framework for telecommunications. The Commission determined the orientation of the formal proposals it will submit next June which, under the "Lisbon calendar", should be adopted by the European Parliament...
