According to the Bulgarian Government, three candidates have put in files for the privatisation of BULBANK, the country's largest bank in terms of total balance sheet, these are the Belgian banking-insurance group KBC, the Italian bank UNICREDITO ITALIANO and a group set up around CAISSE NATIONALE DE CREDIT AGRICOLE. As a reminder, the authorities are selling off a controlling stake in the bank of at least 67%.
