The British bank BARCLAYS has sold its car leasing subsidiary DIAL GROUP to the Dutch bank ABN AMRO for GBP 269 million. DIAL GROUP has subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain and had 115,000 vehicles under contract at end 1999. Its pre-tax profits totalled EUR 36.2 million last year.
