ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) privatisations

- Poland: The Treasury is considering selling, in 2001, between 25 and 30% of the largest electrical power station in Poland, located in Belchatow (western Poland), as part of a far-reaching privatisation programme in this sector. The method, either on the stock exchange or a sale to a strategic investor, has not been decided yet. The power station, with an estimated value of USD 4 billion, generates 20% of the country's electricity.
