Brussels, 13/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the creation of a loan and equity fund of 31.7 million euro for 2000-2006 intended to finance small and medium-sized enterprises in the Western Region of Ireland. The Western Investment Fund will allocate loans and take shares in the capital of SMEs, interventions that the Commission does not consider as State aid.
