Anna Diamantopoulou and Ferro Rodrigues formally launch Equal initiative to fight against all discrimination on labour market

Brussels, 13/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is organising, in close cooperation with the Portuguese Council presidency, on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 April in Lisbon, a conference on the Equal initiative, which proposes new practices to fight against discrimination and inequality of any kind on the labour market. The Commission approved the guideline proposals for the period 2000-2006. Financed by the European Social Fund, the initiative has a budget of EUR 2,847 million...
