Eurocoop draws European Parliament's attention to pitfalls of new regulation on labelling of bovine meat that, in its opinion, does not inform the consumers of origin of meat

Brussels, 11/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - In view of the Parliament's vote on the compulsory beef labelling system (Papayannakis report), the European Community of Consumer Cooperatives (Eurocoop) spoke in favour of total traceability of beef, considering that the Commission's proposal does not satisfy this objective.
