The CHASE MANHATTAN BANK (United States) is preparing to invest close to USD 8 billion in the acquisition of the British firm ROBERT FLEMING (total share GBP 1 billion with 7.500 employees in 40 countries). Still held at 29.4% by the Fleming family, it manages some USD 140 billion shares for its clients.
