Council decisions, say Patten, are more surgical and effective measures against Milosevic - Towards more European police in Kosovo

Brussels, 15/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - As briefly announced in EUROPE (see yesterday's bulletin, p.10), the General Affairs Council has decided to suspend the air embargo against the FRY while extending the list of persons banned from entry to EU territory, and inviting the European Commission to study how to make financial sanctions more effective.
