Commission confirms authorisation of ecotax exemptions granted by Germany to certain economic sectors

Brussels, 15/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has confirmed its case law in favour of environmental tax measures, by authorising, on Wednesday, the special tax treatment granted to certain economic sectors after the raising of taxes on electricity and fuels in Germany (Stromeinspeisungsgesetz).
