The cell phone and Internet subsidiaries of German DEUTSCHE TELEKOM, namely T-MOBILE and T-ONLINE, have announced the launching, probably from Autumn 2000, of new Internet access via mobile phone. To this end, the two subsidiaries are to create a joint venture whose name will remain secret for now, and of which T-MOBILE will hold 60% and T-ONLINE 40%.
