Human Rights Watch calls on the Union to support the US-sponsored UN resolution on human rights in China

Brussels, 12/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The NGO Human Rights Watch has called on the European Union to lend its backing to the resolution on human rights in China the United States will be sponsoring at the meeting of the UN Commission on Human Rights in March. The NGO requests that the EU Council working group on human rights, due to meet on Thursday in Brussels, recommend that European Ministers support the US resolution.
