Athens, 12/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - Greek Prime Minister Costas Simitis confirmed the timetable for his country's entering Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), ie: submission of the request in the second week of March, the Fifteen's decision at the European Council in Santa Maria da Feira (Portugal) on 19 and 20 June, entry into the Euro zone beginning-2001.
