Apóstolos Tzitzikóstas announces railway safety proposals in second half of 2026 to European Parliament

Apóstolos Tzitzikóstas, European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, announced to the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Thursday 12 March that he would be presenting a number of proposals to improve rail safety in the second half of 2026. MEPs debated rail transport safety in the wake of the Adamuz accident in Spain and three years after the Tempi tragedy in Greece.
