European Commission approves €440 million in Spanish state aid to support renewable hydrogen production

Brussels, 12/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 12 March, the European Commission approved a €440 million Spanish State aid programme to support the production of renewable hydrogen. It will be implemented using the European Hydrogen Bank’s ‘Auctions-as-a-Service’ tool, according to a press release.
