European fisheries ministers to hold debate on 30 March on energy transition in sector

On 30 March, European fisheries ministers will be holding a debate on the energy transition in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors, at the initiative of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The aim is to launch a high-level political dialogue on how to accelerate the transition to renewable and low-carbon energy in a sector that is still heavily dependent on fossil fuels (see EUROPE B13811A4).
