Joint exercise between EUNAVFOR Aspides and Indian Army in Indian Ocean

09/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 9 September, the European External Action Service (EEAS) announced that a passage exercise (PASSEX) was conducted on 7 September between the Italian destroyer ITS CAIO DUILIO, taking part in the naval operation EUNAVFOR Aspides, and the Indian destroyer INS SURAT, in the Indian Ocean. These included manoeuvre and tactical exercises, radio and data exchanges, simultaneous air operations and other crew training activities.
