European Commission to mobilise further €500,000 in emergency aid

09/09/25 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 8 September, the European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, announced additional funding of €500,000 to support the work of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - Disaster Response Emergency Fund (IFRC-DREF). “EU support to the Afghan communities affected by last week's earthquake continues”, said Ms Lahbib on the X network. €1 million had already been released by the...
