Green light from European Parliament for second terms of Ms Elvinger and Mr Blok

09/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 9 September, the European Parliament approved the appointment of Joëlle Elvinger of Luxembourg (530 votes in favour, 41 against, 70 abstentions) and Stef Blok of the Netherlands (462 votes in favour, 129 against, 25 abstentions) as members of the European Court of Auditors for a second six-year term. Ms Elvinger and Mr Blok have been in office since 2020 and 2022 respectively (see EUROPE B12392A29, B13000A16). (MB)
