European Parliament considers that Pristina must undertake genuine structural reforms in order to unblock its accession process

Like the report on Serbia (see other news), on Wednesday 7 May MEPs adopted (by 353 votes to 145 with 78 abstentions) the report on Kosovo and its progress with reforms towards EU membership.

In the text, the rapporteur, Riho Terras (EPP, Estonian), “notes the tangible progress made in the areas of justice, freedom and security, the fight against organised crime and towards a functioning market economy; regrets that progress in the area of rule of law remains limited”.
